HERE ARE SOME BEAUTIFUL AND MEANINGFUL MEDITATIONS THAT CAN BE USED TO ACCOMPANY BOTH THE CHAPLET OF DIVINE MERCY AND THE HEALING HOLY ROSARY:
THE FIRST DECADE: THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN:
1. "Then Jesus came with them into a country place which is called Gethsemani; and He said to His disciples: Sit you here, till I go yonder and pray." (St. Mathew 26: 36)
2. "And taking with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to grow sorrowful and to be sad." (26: 37)
3. "Then He saith to them: My soul is sorrowful even unto death: stay you here, and watch with Me." (26: 38)
4. "And going a little further, He fell upon His face, praying, and saying: My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt." (26: 39)
5. "And He cometh to His disciples, and findeth them asleep, and He saith to Peter: What? Could you not watch one hour with Me?" (26: 40)
6. "Watch ye, and pray that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh weak." (26: 41)
7. "Again the second time, He went and prayed, saying: My Father, if this chalice may not pass away, but I must drink it, Thy will be done." (26: 42)
8. "And He cometh again, and findeth them sleeping: for their eyes were heavy." (26: 43)
9. "And leaving them, He went again: and He prayed the third time, saying the selfsame word." (26: 44)
10. "Then He cometh to His disciples, and saith to them: Sleep ye now and take your rest; behold the hour is at hand, and the Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners." (26: 45) THE SECOND DECADE THE SCOURGING AT THE PILLAR
1. "Again therefore Peter denied; and immediately the cock crew. Then they led Jesus from Caiphas to the governor's hall. And it was morning; and they went not into the hall, that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the pasch. (St. John 18: 27-28)
2. "Pilate therefore went out to them, and said: What accusation bring you against this man? They answered, and said to him: If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up to thee." (St. John 18: 29-30)
3. "Pilate therefore said to them: Take him you, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said to him: It is not lawful for us to put any man to death; That the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which He said, signifying what death He should die." (St. John 18: 31-32)
4. "Pilate therefore went into the hall again, and called Jesus, and said to Him: Art thou the king of the Jews? Jesus answered: Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or have others told it thee of me? Pilate answered: Am I a Jew? Thy own nation, and the chief priests, have delivered thee up to me: what hast thou done? (St. John 18: 33-35)
5. "Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would certainly strive that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from hence." (St. John 18: 36)
6. "Pilate therefore said to him: Art thou a king then? Jesus answered: Thou sayest I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of truth, heareth my voice." (St. John 18: 37)
7. Pilate saith to him: What is truth? And when he said this, he went out again to the Jews, and saith to them: I find no cause in Him." (St. John 18: 38) "And Pilate, calling together the chief priests, and the magistrates, and the people, Said to them: You have presented unto me this man, as one that perverteth the people; and behold I, having exam- ined him before you, find no cause in this man, in those things wherein you accuse him." (St. Luke 23: 13-14)
8. "No, nor Herod neither. For I sent you to him, and behold, nothing worthy of death is done to him. I will chastise him therefore, and release him. Now of necessity he was to release unto them one upon the feast day. But the whole multitude together cried out, saying: Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: who for a certain sedition in the city, and for a murder, was cast into prison." (St. Luke 23: 15-19)
9. "And Pilate again spoke to them desiring to release Jesus. But they cried again saying: Crucify him, crucify him, And he said to them the third time: Why, what evil hath this man done? I will chastise him therefore, and let him go." (St. Luke 23: 20-22)
10. "Then therefore, Pilate took Jesus, and scourged him." (St. John 19: 1)
"Without me (Jesus) you can do nothing." (St. John 15: 5)

 The Scourging at the Pillar
"Why have the Gentiles raged, and the people devised vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes met together, against the Lord, and against His Christ. Let us break their bonds asunder: and let us cast away their yoke from us. He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh at them: and the Lord shall deride them. Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in his rage. But I am appointed king by him over Sion his holy mountain, preaching his commandment. The Lord hath said to me: Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give thee the Gentiles for thy inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron, and shalt break them in pieces like a potters vessel. And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth. Serve ye the Lord with fear: and rejoice unto Him with trembling. Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way. When his wrath shall be kindled in a short time, blessed are all they that trust in him." (Psalm 2) Satan Hates Prayer Groups. Will you start a weekly prayer group in your local church?
